What brand of weapons will Z-Flex^® fit?

Upon initial release, Z-Flex^® sights were designed to fit the Glock series of weapons. The dovetail configuration is machined to fit all Glock pistols as a “drop in” component.

In the near future 2^nd Sight Gun Sights will release additional products to fit the following brands of weapons:

• 1911 .45 cal. with "Novak cut" dovetail
• 1911 .45 cal. with Mil-Spec cut dovetail
• Smith & Wesson M&P™ (.45; .40; 9mm, .357 Auto)

Other popular brands and calibers are planned for future releases. If you require a particular brand, please contact us to specify the specific weapon and quantities required.

Does installation require alterations by a gunsmith?

Z-Flex^® sights are designed as a “drop in” component.

• No alternations or additional machining by either the owner or a gunsmith is required.
• Once owners remove the stock rear sight (usually press-fit into the weapon’s slide/dovetail and/or retained by set-screws), Z-Flex^® sights slide into place and secured by two set-screws using the supplied 1/16” hex wrench. It is strongly recommended that owners use a thread-locking compound (e.g., Loctite^®) to prevent the set-screws from backing out under heavy recoil or extended use.

What type of holsters will accept Z-Flex^® sights?

Z-Flex^® was tested using many brands of Security Level I, II, and III holsters. So far we have not found a holster that will not accept the Z-Flex^® sights. There may be some types of Class III holsters that will not accept Z-Flex^®, but we haven’t encountered it yet. Z-Flex^® gun sights fit all open top type holsters. The Flip-up model fits all Security Level I and II holsters, and most Level III holsters as well. Customers should ensure their sights fit their particular holster.
