The Super-Luminova pigments glow brightly when exposed to white or black (UV) light for 30-60 seconds; the after-glow lasts up to 6-8 hours! Predicated on the Flip-up design, the Z-Flex Fixed-base sight is machined from a single piece of metal; the Aiming Aperture remains in the upright position. The Fixed-base design can be used as a "charging handle" in that shooters lay their free hand on top of the slide next to the Fixed-base sight and rack the slide back thus arming the weapon.
